Introduction

The third Law and Social Sciences Research Network (LASSNet) conference is a collaboration between the Law and Society Trust, Colombo, the Department of Law, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, and LASSNet's anchor institution, the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. It will be held at the University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, from December 14-16, 2012. More details about the conference themes can be found in the original call for papers. The deadline for submission of abstracts was 30th June, 2012.

The inaugural LASSnet conference was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi in 2009. A subsequent conference was held at the Foundation for Liberal and Management Education (FLAME) in Pune in 2010.
